Put your arm thru the sling, with the tail hanging down in
front of you. Set it on your opposite shoulder with the rings high up on your
shoulder.

Hold your baby on the shoulder opposite of the rings.

Lower your baby into the sling, letting their feet come out
the bottom side of the sling. Make sure the fabric has formed a pouch under
their bottom and is near the bend of their knees.

Keep your baby high on your chest, and support their weight
while you pull the tail to tighten the sling. The rings should end up right in
front of your shoulder, about where you would pin a corsage. Make sure you do
not pull the fabric out from under your baby.

Spread the body of the sling fully across your baby's back and
shoulders to support them.

If your baby is hanging away from you, pull on just the part
of the tail that tightens the top rail.

Now you are completely hands free. Most babies like to be held
like this, but not all do. There are other positions that your baby may like
better.
